Unsecured Personal Loan: Make The Best Of Life

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Grant_Cliv]Grant Cliv Unsecured personal loan is designed to bring the glorious moments as it can give you maximum contentment financially. You will not have to bear any compromises on your personal wants and desires, which lead to a great dissatisfaction in life. Unsecured personal loan is a huge economic support to all those who are not fortunate enough to get their dreams satisfied on their own. Today, the prime concern and chief priority of an individual is money. It is one of the dominating factors in the world. It is hard nut to crack to accomplish your needs if you dont have sufficient resources. Hence, people who are not fortunate enough to afford things, generally look for other alternatives such as unsecured personal loan. Unsecured personal loan is appropriately designed for all those who dont have a property such as tenants or home owners who are not willing to risk their property. Absence of collateral is a blessing for the borrower as he cannot lose any assets in case he is not able to repay. It gives tough time to the lender, as he has no assurance. Therefore, he also takes all necessary measures to protect his money. He charges very high interest rate, burdens you with heavy monthly amount and also gives small repayment period. The terms and conditions become very rigid for you and no flexibility is offered by the lender. You also dont have enough liberty to withdraw a big amount. Lender might object because of no security. But, in the absence of collateral, documentation gets curtailed; hence in a short time unsecured personal loan is available for you. To acquire more information about all the facts and figures of unsecured personal loan, you can browse the Internet. Alternative Remedies for Children

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

By Kit Heathcock As a first time mother I started off my parenting career on track with conventional medicine, armed with a bottle of Calpol, to solve every medical dilemma. Confronting my babys eczema and frequent bouts of tonsillitis led me to discover alternative medicine, homeopathy in particular, and I gradually came to find other ways of dealing with teething pain and mild fevers. Let me make it clear that I am writing from my own experience as a mother, I am not a qualified health professional, so before trying any of my suggestions consult your homeopath or doctor to make sure they are appropriate for your child and your particular needs. In alternative medicine, fever is seen as a healthy sign that the bodys immune system is doing its job. By raising the body temperature for a period the bacteria or virus causing the illness can be weakened and killed off by the body’s own defence system. Suppressing fevers routinely by giving Calpol or other paracetamol, is therefore reducing the bodys capacity to fight off the illness by itself. Its hard as a parent to see your child ill with fever you want to dole out some quick fix medicine so theyll be better immediately. Often though by giving paracetamol for a mild fever you can be prolonging the illness, as the body has to fight harder against the bacteria or virus causing it and can then succumb to secondary infections. There are alternative remedies that you can reach for instead of the Calpol bottle when your child is sick. Tissue Salts are biochemic remedies containing trace minerals in minute quantities that our bodies need for balanced health. Ferrum Phos No.4 is excellent for supporting the immune system through fever. Two of the small lactose pills dissolved under the tongue every half hour bring some relief. I experienced this myself when in bed with a fever. On taking two pills I felt the heat draining from my brow. I had to keep repeating the dose every half hour but it also helped psychologically to feel that I was taking something to help myself. There is also a very effective homeopathic preparation in drop form called Infludo by Weleda, which is a combination of remedies to help flu like symptoms. My second and third babies got through their teething stages with the help of Chamomilla, another useful homeopathic remedy. It comes in the form of tiny lactose pills that can be put to dissolve on the babys tongue. They soothe the discomfort and ease the pain. If you are interested in alternative medicine and homeopathy, find yourself a good homeopath to help you understand how it works and support you through your childs illnesses. Invest in a guide to basic homeopathic remedies for home use. It has made all the difference to me. My son never had a repeat of the tonsillitis once we stopped treating it with antibiotics and moved on to homeopathic remedies. The children still get their share of colds and flu but I have more confidence in myself and them to fight off these ailments with the true essentials: warmth, rest, love and a few remedies to support the immune system at work. I will never completely get rid of that lurking maternal anxiety wanting a quick fix whenever a child is sick, but at least I can dole out the Tissue Salts, as I mop the fevered brow and supply liquids. N.B. I am talking about mild fevers over just one or two days here. High fevers and prolonged illnesses should always be checked out by a doctor or homeopath and treated by them. Top 10 Mistakes Made by Virginia Workers Compensation Claimants

Wednesday, November 14th, 2007

By Gerald G. Lutkenhaus I have compiled a list of mistakes that claimants make in Virginia Workers Compensation Cases. These are the ones people should avoid. 1. The mistake that can easily get your claim denied is to fail to report your accident promptly to your employer when you are injured. Also, you must report a “specific incident” and not just my back is hurting. Many employers have a policy that an accident should be reported immediately after it happens. If you don’t report, you run the risk the employer will say it never happened. 2. The next mistake is to fail to give your doctor a clear history regarding how the accident happened. If the doctor’s report does not contain a clear history, then the insurance company may well conclude the accident did not cause your problem. 3. A failure to obtain medical treatment immediately is an all too common mistake. If you don’t go to the doctor, why should anyone think you have a problem. 4. The insurance company will call you soon after the accident to take a recorded statement. The purpose of the statement is to lock in your testimony so it cannot be changed at a later date. Thus, it is advisable to contact an experienced workers compensation attorney before giving this statement. 5. A failure to list “all injuries” incurred in the accident on the insurance company agreement forms or on the claim for benefits can be a problem. This is especially true for example if one lists the injury as an “arm injury” when it really is a “neck injury.” The Virginia Workers Compensation Commission has held in the past that an “arm injury” does not include a “neck injury.” 6. Representing yourself at a Workers Compensation Hearing. Some people represent themselves over a dispute regarding their claim. This can be a fatal error since the insurance company will be represented by an attorney. Once you do the hearing the record is closed and you cannot add “new evidence” later. 7. A failure to cooperate with vocational placement after you are released to light duty work. This can be grounds for termination of your compensation. 8. A failure to go to medical appointments. This can be grounds for termination of your compensation. 9. Settling your case on your own. If you surrender a claim for 500 weeks of possible benefits and lifetime medical care for your injury, you should know the settlement is all you will ever receive for your injury and depending on your situation, it may not be the wise thing to do. 10. Failure to consult with an experienced Workers’ Compensation Attorney. Attorneys specialize so it may not be enough to consult with just “an attorney” it is best to consult with a specialist in workers compensation law. Winter Skin Care

Monday, November 12th, 2007

By Sue Dolan The effect of seasonal weather changes, especially during the winter months, can take a significant toll on your skin. Facial skin ravaged by exposure to the elements can exhibit symptoms of dryness, flaking, itching and even sore, scaly patches. Taking a proactive approach to caring for your skin during these months will help you avoid the worst impact that winter can have on your skin. First and foremost, your best defense for winter skin care is protection! Even during the winter months, you absolutely need to continue to apply SPF 15 or greater sunscreen when outside. Even though you might think the suns effects are diminished during the winter months, nothing could be farther from the truth. The reflection of the sun off snow and ice can be particularly damaging. Wearing a scarf that can be easily pulled up to protect the cheeks and bottom portion of your face is also a helpful preventative measure to limit the skins exposure to the elements. Although it may seem contradictory, dry skin benefits tremendously from exfoliation to help eliminate the flaking skin cells, to smooth the skins surface and promote cell rejuvenation. Whether you choose to use a chemical exfoliant such as an AHA product like glycolic acid or a mechanical means such as a facial scrub, incorporating a means of exfoliation into your routine at least a few times a week can dramatically improve dry skin. And for heavens sakes, dont use any type of astringents or soap. They will only dry out the skin more. Instead, try using a super rich cleanser such as one with a soy or oatmeal ingredient to give your skin a conditioning treatment as you cleanse. Maintaining the skins moisture content during the winter months is also critical. The skin is typically well hydrated after a warm shower or steaming facial. Immediately seal in the moisture with a skin cream rich in emollients. Moisturizers keep the skin conditioned while offering protection against the harsh effects of the cold. The drier the skin becomes, the more frequently a moisturizer should be applied. To treat any of those very dry, scaly patches that might develop, use a petroleum based product on the affected areas before bed. Believe it or not, plain old Vaseline works wonders on stubborn dry, cracked, and flaking skin. Unfortunately, most people cringe at the idea of using Vaseline on their face, thinking that it will clog pores and, in general, have a negative effect on the skin. In a word- untrue! Vaseline and similar petroleum based products provide a protective, insulating barrier for the skin on those frigid, windy days when applied as a light coat to the face and lips. Finally, for those irritating patches of skin that persistently plague you despite your best efforts, an over-the-counter antibiotic ointment has significant healing effects on skin that is cracked and sore. For the extremely dry, flaking and itchy spots an OTC hydrocortisone cream can provide both relief from the itching and diminish the dry, flaking symptoms. Please bear in mind that if your condition persists, it is best to consult with a Physician to find the best remedy for your particular skin condition. Hoodia Gordonii Testimonial Guide

Sunday, November 11th, 2007

By George Alarcon Today we are seeing testimonials popping all over the Internet and one doesnt know which ones to believe. There are certain ways to know if you are actually reading genuine testimonials for a hoodia product such as a first and last name of the person who wrote it, name of location, and even a website and phone number from which s/he can be reached for verification. Testimonials are not the only factor for determining the perfect hoodia product. I have listed below a few tips on what to look for when shopping for a hoodia product in order to discover something that would work best for you. Tip #1 Only order from a company that provides you with a confirmable independent lab analysis certificate. Never consider buying from any vendor that doesnt openly display a certificate of analysis on its website. You would be taking a fat chance of ordering a product that might not produce the results you are seeking. Tip #2 Only buy from a company that clearly displays a CITES certificate on its website. This certificate is required in order to export hoodia out of South Africathe place on earth where it grows naturally. So make sure you locate a CITES certificate on the companys site before deciding to order. Tip #3 Do not buy a hoodia product thats been grown in Mexico, Texas, India, China, or other countries. You want hoodia that comes from South Africa. Another point worth noting: Buy from South African sources that have been approved by its government to operate as cultivators. Tip #4 Check the products label to see that its actually aerial stem. Aerial stem is the portion of the hoodia plant thats used by the San population to suppress their appetite. Many supplement companies are using inferior parts of the hoodia plant like the roots to make up the greater volume of their diet hoodia pills. Tip #5 If the hoodia you are thinking of buying happens to be an extract, be certain that the product is standardized. This simply means that there exists an equivalent amount of the active p57 molecule in each capsule or tablet. Tip #6 Keep in mind the fact that there are about 20 species in the family of hoodia. You want hoodia gordonii which has been successfully tested as well as proven to kill ones appetite. So, only buy a product that lists hoodia gordonii on its label. Buyers Tip #7 To play it safe consider a hoodia product that is only 100% natural, ephedra free, and stimulant free. Tip #8 For best results in experiencing appetite suppression, order a hoodia product that provides you with 400mg to 1000mg per capsule, tablet, or per liquid serving. Warning: Do not order a weak formulation that also contains other ingredients. To read testimonials of outstanding hoodia products that fulfill the most critical points from above, visit the links below. Get Your Garden Tools Ready - 5 Indispensable Tools For Your Garden

Saturday, November 10th, 2007

By Alan King Gardening is considered as one of the most relaxing and enjoyable leisure activities among all populations unless you are Tarzan or if you dont have a garden but can become awfully wearisome and frustrating if you dont equip yourself with the right kind of basic garden tools. There are just about half a dozen or so essential garden tools that can make all the difference between frustration and pleasure. And these days, with on-line shopping becoming a hot trend, you can pick up good quality products at affordable prices from websites offering great tool deals on garden implements. Some must-have garden tools are: a pair each of pruning shears, lopping shears and hedge shears; a rake; a shovel; a hole digger; and some watering tools like water hose, nozzles, and watering can. Pruning/Lopping/Hedge Shears: Shears, also known as clippers, are essential garden tools that are used for pruning, shaping and removing foliage or branches. A pair of pruning shears is used for light pruning of trees, shrubs and rose plants. For pruning thicker branches, larger shrubs and stocky stems, lopping shears are more suitable as they have longer handles and stronger blades. As the name suggests, hedge shears are used for trimming hedges. They have much longer blades, almost as long as the handles themselves. Shovel and Hole Digger: A good shovel and hole digger can make digging fun. Many designs of shovels are available; go in for a design that serves your purpose and gives you a secure handgrip. Rake: A rake is an indispensable garden tool that is used for gathering fallen leaves, cut grass, branches, hay, etc., as well as for loosening the soil, removing weeds and small stones, and leveling the soil. A big fan-style rake is ideal for removing fallen leaves and cut grass.Garden Hose: A good quality water hose is a must-have if you want to make your gardening experience pleasurable. Choose a water hose that is at least 3 or 4 ply in thickness and has brass fittings. If convenient storage is a factor that is of prime importance to you, go for a coiled type of water hose. This is more expensive than the uncoiled type, but is really convenient to store and transport.Watering Can and Nozzles: Choose a watering can with long nozzles that allows the water to come out gently and reach across long distances. A spray nozzle is good for watering young seedlings. If you buy your garden tools online, you can get really good deals on tools that make your gardening experience a pleasure. If youre buying them offline from a store youre shearing your money Well, its your cash; you decide. Financing College Expenses With Student Loans or With Credit Cards?

Thursday, November 8th, 2007

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Mary_Wise]Mary Wise But what happens when you wont have enough money by the next month to pay the whole balance? Or, in other words, what if you need finance to make ends meet? Is a credit card the best source of finance or are there other options that you can turn to if you need funds to cover your expenses? All these questions will be answered in the following paragraphs. What we want to make students understand is that finance is a serious issue that should be well thought. Rushing in and choosing the easiest path can lead to unfortunate consequences that can easily be avoided by doing a bit of research and making conscious decisions. Other Finance Sources The truth is that when it comes to students, lenders are more flexible and a student will be able to get finance at low interest rates without too much hassle as long as he is willing to go through the process of applying for a loan. Many people feel that using a credit card and getting finance through it is not borrowing money, but it is. There is no difference between that and applying for a loan. So, given that either way youll owe someone money, you might as well borrow money with a lower interest rate. Federal Loans carry the lowest interest rates when it comes to [http://www.badcreditfinancialexperts.com/student-loan-consolidation-refinance.html]student loans. The interest rate charged for a federal loan is usually below 6%. Another benefit that comes with this kind of loans is that the repayment is deferred till graduation. Moreover, you can sometimes agree a deferment of up to a year after graduation. Regular loans on the other hand carry somewhat higher interest rates but nevertheless lower than other unsecured personal loans. Repayment can also be deferred and payment schedules can last longer than federal loans. Also, private loans provide higher loan amounts than federal loans. Credit Cards If you choose to finance yourself with credit cards, you must understand that costs will be a lot higher. Unless you always pay your balance in full (in which case you wouldnt be financing) the interest rate youll be charged for credit will be as high as 20%, let alone other charges and fees like insurance, issuing costs, etc. Not only is the interest rate a lot higher, but it is also not fixed. So variations in market conditions may increase the interest rate charged and youll end up paying a lot more than you expected. Besides you cannot defer payment, youll have to begin to pay for your purchases the following month. And if you choose to pay the minimum youll end up accumulating debt which is a dangerous thing to do as the minimum will increase every month and youll end up being unable to pay your credit card balance. Mary Wise, a professional consultant with twenty years in the financial field, helps people in the process of securing personal loans, mortgage, refinance or consolidation loans and preventing consumers from falling into the hands of fraudulent lenders. 5 Ways To Stay In Charge Of Your Finances

Wednesday, November 7th, 2007

By Gabriel J. Adams Across the country, there are more and more people who are becoming overcome with debt and are facing financial disaster. If you want to be sure that you have a bright financial future, you need to take measures to get in charge of your finances immediately. Remember, there is no short term cure for your finances, but you are going to have to work to stay in charge of your finances at all times. The following are a few tips that can help you to maintain control of your finances. #1 - Develop a Budget and Stick with It Developing a budget that you stick with is a great way to keep in charge of your finances. When you are making up a budget, be sure that it is a budget that you can deal with long term. Make the budget reasonable and be sure that you budget in money to save each month as well. People who have a reasonable budget are less likely to start going out and running up a great deal of credit debt. #2 - Work to Become Debt Free Another way that you can stay in control of your finances is to start working on getting rid of all your debt. While becoming debt free can take a bit of time, there are ways that it can be done if you are willing to work on it. Once you become debt free, you will be free from looming debt and will have more money left over each month instead of paying all those credit card bills. #3 - Organize your Finances Many people fall into financial disaster by a lack of organization, but keeping your finances organized can help you stay in control of your finances. Make sure that you keep track of bills and when they need to be paid to avoid late fees, and also be sure to keep track of your check book so you do not have a problem and overdraw your account. Simple organizational measures can help you keep better control over your finances. #4 - Avoid Overspending One area where many people have a problem is in the area of overspending. If you want to stay in control of your finances you will need to avoid overspending. If you are going to make a large purchase, make sure that it is a planned purchase that you have spent time thinking about. Avoid impulsive shopping that results in you buying things you do not even need. #5 - Keep Track of your Credit Report Your credit report is a good gauge of what is going on in your finances and it is important that you keep track of it. By checking up on your credit report, you can see where there are problems and work to fix them. You may also be able to identify any errors on your report that could affect you negatively as well. If you do find errors on your credit report, be sure to call the company and start working on fixing the error to make sure your report is correct. Foods To Avoid That Cause Bad Breath

Monday, November 5th, 2007

By Harold Katz Did you know that there are specific foods that may lead to bad breath? This is because of volatile sulfur compounds - the culprit in causing bad breath! For example, if food sits out too long it will spoil. That spoiling action is due to anaerobic bacteria breaking down proteins in that particular food. In milk, the odor of sour milk is caused by relatives of the bugs that create bad breath when they break down proteins in the milk (and basically in all dairy foods). A reaction takes place where ‘the bad breath bugs’ extract sulfur compounds from the amino acids in these proteins. Specifically, the amino acid Cysteine is converted to Hydrogen Sulfide (which has a rotten egg smell) and Methionine becomes Methyl Mercaptan (which smells like a cross between old socks and garlic). The same analogy applies to meat if it sits out too long. Everyone knows that onions and garlic will create bad breath. But do you know why? It’s because the odorous molecules in onions and garlic are actually sulfur compounds themselves called Mercaptans. Sulfur is nature’s way of creating odors. You’re all familiar with the skunk. Its odor is created by a defense and/or attack mechanism. Skunk odor is made up of skatoles, which are naturally occurring sulfur compounds. In a similar fashion, bacteria in your mouth creates the volatile sulfur compounds of bad breath and taste disorders. There are 4 food categories that will result in an increase of sulfur production because these categories have a stimulating affect on the bacteria that cause bad breath: 1. Drying Agents 2. Dense Protein Foods 3. Sugars 4. Acidic Foods Let’s look closely at each of these food categories and how they stimulate bad breath! DRYING AGENTS The most common drying agent in food is alcohol. Alcohol of course, is the basis of all “adult” beverages such as beer, wine, and hard liquor. It is also used, unfortunately, in many mouthwashes you find in the grocery stores, which only makes a bad breath problem worse. Alcohol, known chemically as a desiccant, is used quite often in laboratories to “dry out” hard to reach areas in test tubes and beakers. The same end result takes place in the oral cavity. Although cigarettes are not really food, smoking is probably the quickest way to dry out your mouth, with alcohol being the second. If you smoke, you are bound to have bad breath! DENSE PROTEIN FOODS Dairy foods are notorious for creating bad breath. An article that appeared in the “Los Angeles Times” once noted that over 50% of the population in Southern California was “lactose intolerant”. With regards to bad breath, many of these people (numbering in the tens of millions) end up with more dense proteins available as bad breath fuel for the bacteria than those who have no problem with dairy foods like milk, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, etc. The end result is a buildup of amino acids, which are easily converted into volatile sulfur compounds by the anaerobic bacteria found within the surface of your tongue and throat. To a lesser extent, people have the same problem with other types of food that are considered to be dense in protein such as beef, chicken, and fish. Another problem, thankfully rare, has to do with people who have an inability to break down certain proteins found in beans. This condition is called TMA (Trimethylaminuria) and is sometimes known as the “Fish Odor Syndrome,” because the odor produced is similar to decaying fish. The odor consists of sulfur compounds, plus nitrogen compounds (amines). People with this condition must abstain from beans and other types of food that are dense in protein. SUGARS Wouldn’t it be great if we could get rid of bad breath by chewing on M&Ms? Or what if the cure for bad breath were Hershey Kisses? That’s what the makers of Altoids would have you believe. Altoids, and other products of the same ilk, are trying to fool the public into believing that a strong “good” taste in your mouth is equivalent to the “freshness” of your breath. This is so anti-scientific it’s absurd! If you think about it for a minute, it really doesn’t make any sense. By using concentrated mint flavorings, your taste buds pick up mint as a taste. However, Altoids contains two types of sugar which again, are a fuel for the bacteria to reproduce and create more sulfur compounds - thus bad breath. In addition, the frightening part is that other bacteria can take the sugars and produce glycan strands, which in turn end up causing thick layers of plaque on the enamel of your teeth and around your gums. This leads to tooth decay and gum disease - and you guessed it - worse breath than you started with! Since you can’t smell your own breath, you just go merrily along with that great strong mint taste in your mouth, while others close to you are backing away - backing away from your increased bad breath, decayed teeth, and gross, swollen, bleeding gums! Stay away from candies, mints, and chewing gum if they contain sugar! Instead, let me recommend an alternative created by TheraBreath called the TheraBreath Oxygenating Chewing Gum (http://www.therabreath.com/products.asp?CAT=5). It releases Oxygen molecules directly into your mouth and also contains the antibacterial agent, Zinc Gluconate. This agent is found in many cold medications. In addition it contains Xylitol, which is a natural sweetening agent with an anti-decay compound. ACIDIC FOODS Foods with a high acidic content are a problem as well. pH is a term used to describe the acidity of an environment. The oral cavity has a normal pH of 6.5 (7 is considered neutral). Some of the foods you should watch out for are coffee and many citrus juices. Both decaffeinated and regular coffee contain acids. However, tea is okay. Among the citrus juices the ones with the highest acidic content include tomato juice, orange juice, pineapple juice, and grapefruit juice. We know that acids make the bacteria reproduce much faster. In order to decrease the production of odorous sulfur compounds, the acid environment needs to be neutralized. What can you learn from all this? Avoiding foods that contribute to, if not cause, bad breath is vital if you want to have clean fresh breath. While this is a difficult task, being aware of these bad breath causing elements is the first step in developing confidence in your breath. In addition, it is important to use oral care products that are free of alcohol, sugar, and that also have a high pH level.
